Environmental compatibility

In a wider sense, the environment is the entire area between the atmosphere and the upper earth crust. In a narrower sense, the environment relates primarily to nature and the interaction between the economy, technology and science. Environment in the ecology designates the entirety of all influences affecting nature as well as the entirety of all ecological factors affecting a species.


In contrast to the pure concept of Nature, in recent times also areas such as environmental protection, pollution, health, water management, waste management, noise protection, electrosmog and similar problem fields have been included. The legislator has recognised the dangers in the way the environment is treated and has stepped in regulatorily with diverse laws.

An appliance is judged whether, or to what extent, it can be disassembled into its individual components, thus making it recyclable.
